This customer had an issue with its pricing logic and data being distributed across many disparate systems. There was a lack of rules enforcement for discount eligibility at the point of sale online. Also, the offer validation process online was clunky, forcing additional clicks and losing productivity time for call center agents.
We were engaged to create a consistent and accurate pricing and discounting engine across all sales channels as well as to improve the productivity of call center agents.
We designed a solution based on Siebel Web Services to centralize pricing, simplify the User Interface and reduce the number of clicks required by call center agents to validate offers.
The solution includes Web services that can be consumed by multiple systems simultaneously, facilitating the sharing of pricing logic and data company wide while remaining script free.
We exceeded the pricing performance goals by three-fold, centralized the pricing engine with Siebel Web Services, simplified the UI, and reduced the number of clicks required for call center agents, thereby boosting productivity.
