General Electric Company (GE) is a Fortune 10 company that operates through four segments: Energy, Technology Infrastructure, Capital Finance, and Consumer Industrial. GE produces innovations in everything from light bulbs to jet engines to household appliances. The company is more than 130 years old.
Situation
The challenge that GE brought to CRMantra was the regulatory maze that comes with the delivery of complex equipment to global businesses. GE was also having trouble with unconsolidated, over-customized customer sales and service tools.
CRMantra worked with GE to consolidate its disparate systems to a single tool, simplify its global delivery processes, and reduce its system complexity and maintenance.
Solution
CRMantra designed a Unified Order Management Solution on Siebel 8.0, Simplified Product Configuration, and Siebel Sales.
The new platform delivered a simplified product and pricing solution, a streamlined system for the approval and validation of quotes and orders, and a multi-lingual, multi-currency deployment.
Results
CRMantra's solution for GE resulted in three large, complex sales platforms consolidated to a single, global solution with consistent pricing execution.
Through modular definition and reuse, we reduced GE product records and rule sets and reduced scripting by more than ten-fold, increasing business agility. Finally, CRMantra greatly improved user adoption and user satisfaction with GE's new platform.
